Diddy Docuseries on the Way From Investigation Discovery and Production Company Behind ‘Quiet on Set’
Several documentaries highlighting the founder of Bad Boy Records' downfall are already out.
Diddy's career and allegations of abuse and sexual assault will be the focus of a new docuseries handled by the same production company that unleashed the explosive Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
On Wednesday, Investigation Discovery announced it will be teaming up with Maxine Productions on a new docuseries chronicling Diddy's career in addition to the number of allegations that have followed him throughout. According to a press release, the docuseries will air in 2025 and feature conversations with people who have alleged Diddy abused them, as well as archival footage over the years.
"Through access to archival footage and in-depth reporting from Rolling Stone, along with harrowing testimony from survivors as well as friends and colleagues who knew and worked with Combs before his stardom, the multi-part docuseries will offer insight into unfolding allegations against the once untouchable superstar. It will also highlight the toxic power dynamic that played out within the industry and kept many survivors silenced – until now," the press release stated.
Diddy's rise and fall has already been the subject of a documentary released by TMZ in April titled TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy. In addition to that, Diddy's rival 50 Cent announced he's working on a documentary on the Bad Boy mogul for which Netflix won a bidding war.
"Ok guys we're all making good television mines just happens to be the best!"50 wrote on Instagram. "NETFLIX wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out … I'm gonna need more episodes."
On Tuesday, Diddy pleaded not guilty to racketeering, conspiracy, and sex trafficking charges following his arrest the day before. A judge denied the $50 million bail, and Diddy will remain in federal custody until the start of his trial. Diddy faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and potentially life in prison if found guilty.
