On Wednesday, August 7, the TikTok account @LockerBlocker20 claimed to have purchased a storage locker containing a heap of Kanye West-centric goods. We’re talking everything from music equipment and Yeezy-branded clothing to apparel pattern cards and performance costumes. The group showed off some of the findings in a two-part livestream, which quickly caught Mike Dean’s attention.

Mike Dean asks the TikTok account if there are "any Mike Dean cases." The TikToker, Locker Blocker, says no and only two cases are shown.

The superproducer and longtime Kanye collaborator was among the hundreds of users who hopped in the comments section: “Any Mike Dean cases [in] there?” he asked. “This is my stuff.”

LockerBlocker20 claimed all the cases they acquired were featured in the videos: “No, only 2 cases are shown...” they responded.

Dean began working with Kanye roughly 20 years ago, when the Chicago rapper was recording his debut album, The College Dropout. Dean would go on to contribute to Kanye’s Graduation, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, The Life of Pablo, and both installments of Donda. Given Dean’s history with Ye, his question seems pretty well-reasoned.

It’s unclear who previously owned the storage locker or where it was located, but judging by the variety of goods, it safe to say it belonged to a prominent member of Kanye’s camp. Or maybe, just maybe, Kanye himself.

As seen in their TikTok videos, LockerBlocker20 got their hands on some microphones, earpieces, and a keyboard with the “Tarik” etched on top. They also came across some masks and robes that were seemingly used in Ye’s 2019 opera, “Nebuchadnezzar.” Other highlights included YZY Season 8 footwear, a Junya Watanabe garment, and a pant patterned labeled “Kim’s stretched jeans.”

Storage auctions take place when the customer fails to pay their locker rent or simply abandons their property. The owner of the storage company will arrange to sell the units in an effort to cover losses; however, bidders don’t know the exact contents of the lockers until after the auction is over.

The LockerBlocker20 team has yet to confirm what they’ll do with the goods.
