On the latest episode of It Is What It Is, Mase appeared to make a playful reference to Diddy's arrest with his choice of tie.

At the top of the episode, which can be seen above, host Treasure Wilson asked Mase how he was doing and he replied with deadpan and elongated "woo." She then asked if there was any significance to the orange tie he was sporting.

"The orange isn't representing anything today?" she asked. "Not today," he replied. "I'm chilling today. It's just, your tie is supposed to say something. It's saying something?" She said that it "could be," hence why she asked. "No statements to be made," he said. "It might be code orange, there's a lot going on these days."

The orange tie comes not long after Diddy was arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges in New York City. The color could, perhaps, be a sly reference to prison overalls.

Mase was formerly signed to Diddy's Bad Boy Records, something that became a contentious point for the rapper in later years. He was particularly critical of Diddy's handling of his publishing rights, those of which were only returned to him last year after they publicly went back and forth online.

More recently, he's kept his thoughts on Diddy to himself. Following the raids on Diddy's homes in March, which arrived months after the bombshell lawsuit from Cassie, the rapper joked that "reparations is getting close and closer." He didn't specify what he meant, exactly, but he added to his co-host Cam'ron, "I'll make sure to give you your percentage."

In May, he suggested that he has a lot more to say about Diddy, but he's "saving" his "takes" for the eventual documentary. "If y'all wondering how I feel, it's coming soon," he said.
