Lil Kim Reflects on Her Friendship With Rich Homie Quan: 'I'm So Heartbroken'

The two rappers previously performed together at the 2016 BET Awards.

Following the untimely passing of Rich Homie Quan at age 34 on Thursday, Sept. 5, Lil Kim has joined the chorus of friends and collaborators mourning the loss of the Atlanta rapper.

Alongside a series of photos and videos that show the two rappers together, Lil Kim paid tribute to her late friend. "This is part of life that I'll never get used to, I'm so heartbroken," she wrote. "No one ever understood the dope ass friendship u and I had. U always pulled up for me no matter what. I've learned in life love those who love you. Rest in heaven my angel."

Quan previously joined Lil Kim onstage at the 2016 BET Awards, where he delivered the Notorious B.I.G.'s verse from the Junior M.A.F.I.A. track "Get Money." Quan received criticism at the time for getting some of the verse's lyrics wrong, which prompted him to release an apology while thanking Lil Kim for the opportunity.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that Rich Homie Quan died at his home in Atlanta. No cause of death was mentioned, but the unfortunate news was confirmed through representatives from his family and Fulton County.
