Emerging British designer Jean-Luc Ambridge’s nominative label has just revealed an intriguing and transformative collection for Spring/Summer 2024.

Moving away from last season’s exploration of the natural phenomena through time, _J.L-A.L_’s new range serves as a reflection of self and sets an investigative microscope against traditional menswear archetypes. Through elevated formats, the brand employs repetition to assess functional design, embracing utilitarian elements in various ways. This is exemplified through the introducion of triple-collared necktie shirts and specialised outerwear featuring multiple arm compartments.

Elsewhere, hooded caps are enhanced with detachable pockets that can be transformed into crossbody bags, and natural fabrics are utilised to create frilled windbreakers and shimmering knitwear. Pierced car coats and coordinated trousers with tinted textiles round out the range, allowing for a fresh perspective on traditional British tailoring.
