Simone Biles may be making her Olympic debut at Rio, but she’s already widely considered as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time. She has already won 10 gold medals at the World Championships and two more at the Pacific Rim Championships. And she added one more gold at the American Cup in Arlington last year. She's only 19 years old, but has captured 13 gold medals, and is now taking aim at the ultimate prize and on the biggest stage at the Olympics.

Simone Biles stands at just 4', 8"—two inches shorter than Danny DeVito. And she has no problem “bragging” about her height (or lack of).

Biles’ mother battled substance abuse, so her grandparents, Ron and Nellie, took Simone and her sister, Adria, under their wing. They were soon officially adopted. Simone even calls her grandmother “Mom.”

5.She was homeschooled throughout high school.
