A video captured the moment when someone swung and hit Boston Celtics star Derrick White in the stands during a college football game between Colorado and rival Colorado State on Saturday.

A witness told TMZ Sports that White, a Colorado alum, got into an argument with a few Colorado State fans in the second quarter. The confrontation turned physical in the following quarter when an unidentified person was seen delivering a spinning backfist.

Two people immediately stepped in front of White while another person tried to hold him back. Several individuals, including officers, got involved, preventing the Celtics guard from retaliating.

According to TMZ Sports, a police report was not filed. White has not addressed the incident on social media.

It would be difficult to find anyone in sports who has had a better few months than White. After winning his first NBA title with the Celtics in June, the 30-year-old agreed to a four-year, $125.9 million extension a few weeks later. He was then chosen as a last-minute replacement for Kawhi Leonard on the U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team in Paris and helped the team win the gold medal.
