Although they're competitors in the United States, during Steph Curry and Lebron James' at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the two "deepened" their friendship and teamwork.

In a new interview with People, Curry shared his excitement about being on the Men's USA basketball team with James while overseas, sharing that the respective Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers players put aside their on-court rivalry.

"All the battles we've had on the court and the back and forth, the fact that we actually got to be teammates, not just in any game like an All-Star game or whatever, but in high stakes basketball with a lot on the line...I think there's a deepened respect and friendship there," said Curry, who's a new investor and partner for Nirvana Super.

He continued, "Hopefully, there will be more experiences in the future, even if we're teammates or not." But with the upcoming NBA season starting in October, Curry joked that he and James will "still have to compete against each other until it's all over."

The Mr. Throwback star also shared that he posted an Olympic photo of himself, James and Kevin Durant, explaining that there's "a sense of pride being an Olympian." As for Lebron, Curry acknowledged that "he's done it before but it's been a minute since 2012 when he played," referring to James' involvement in the London Olympics.

This NBA will mark Curry's 16th and James' 22nd, his first alongside son Bronny, but the ballers are still at the top of their game.

On their experience as teammates, Curry added, "I think we motivated each other even more to however much longer we have left playing."
