By now, we've all seen Stephen Curry hit a variety of clutch shots. But we don't know that we've ever seen him hit one quite like this before.
With the Magic leading the Warriors by two points at the end of a game last night, Orlando guard Elfrid Payton drove down the lane with about 10 seconds left on the clock and attempted to hit a contested layup to seal the contest for his team. But he missed and Curry ended up with the rebound after the ball bounced his way. And from there, rather than calling a timeout, Curry drove the length of the court, put a subtle but effective move on Magic forward Tobias Harris to give himself enough room to launch a three, and…SPLASH!
Kudos to Warriors coach Steve Kerr for not calling a timeout here. He couldn't have drawn up a better play than the one that Curry executed on the fly. What a shot.
