When you think of Vans, you probably picture one of the brand's classic skate shoes. With roots in skating and BMX, Vans has often stuck with what it does best over its 50 year run, but now it's trying something a little different.

Vans is linking up with Columbus, Ohio sneaker store Sole Classics to help roll out its new OG Runner silhouette. The shoe's about as straightforward as its name suggests, using a traditional runner shape and sole while retaining Vans' heritage logos and branding.

For this particular collaboration, Sole Classics combined leather and neoprene on a bright blue upper and added 3M hits and details referencing the store's 10th anniversary. The colorway is inspired by the story of "Kitchi," which Sole Classics describes as a "native tail of a boy who used the Ohio river to save himself, and his village."

The Sole Classics x Vans OG Runner "Kitchi" drops this Saturday, June 25 for $150 exclusively from Sole Classics in store and online.
