Sneaker-related crimes have unfortunately become a regular thing, but it's not everyday that you hear about a pair of Air Jordans helping police take down a burglary ring.

That's exactly what happened in South Hill, Wash., where the Pierce County Sheriff's Department reports that two residential burglary suspects were arrested last week after one of their victims noticed a pair of familiar sneakers listed for sale online.

The shoes in question were "Grape" Jordan 5s, which had been listed by one of the suspects along with a laptop belonging to the victim. Pierce County deputies set up a meeting to buy the shoes and when they arrived, they observed one of the suspects stashing a gun between the seats of a vehicle, one which they later discovered was also stolen.

Two suspects were arrested at the scene of the staged meet-up, and hopefully, the sneakers are now headed home to their rightful owner.
