As Sean “Diddy” Combs sits in jail until his trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges, a resurfaced clip from an interview he did with Conan O’ Brien has painted the music mogul’s wild parties in an even darker light.

The old interview took place on Late Night with Conan O’Brien in 2002, featuring Diddy talking about how to throw a “killer party.”

“You’re legendary for the parties that you throw. You throw a great party,” said O’Brien in the clip. “What’s the ingredient? What do you do to make an amazing, killer party?”

Diddy then explained what he believes he does that contributes to success. “This is what you need to do. Women. Beautiful women, of course. Beautiful men for the ladies, of course,” he explained. “You need some water. I don’t know if guys have noticed this but a lot of ladies drink water at parties, so if you don’t have what they need, they’re going to leave. Gotta keep them there. Need locks on the doors.”

O’Brien was shocked by the suggestion of using locks — responding with “This is sounding kinda dangerous now.” Diddy, however, described it as “a little kinky” before he continued naming more things the TV host would need for a great party. “You need a lot of heat. Don’t have no air conditioning. Heat affects the alcohol but everybody also gets a little more comfortable and loose … builds up a nice little sweat,” he added.

Details about Diddy’s parties have recently been revealed as part of the unsealed indictment that’s been publicized following his arrest on Monday (Sept. 16). In it, his sex parties, referred to as “Freak Offs,” could last several days, and allegedly involved the media mogul distributing “a variety of controlled substances to victims, in part to keep the victims obedient and compliant.” Additionally, Diddy is alleged to have kept videos of victims participating in acts for potential blackmail.

Also, according to the indictment, victims “typically received IV fluids to recover from the physical exertion and drug use” after the parties.

When federal forces searched multiple properties owned by Diddy, they seized “required Freak Off supplies” that included controlled substances, extra linens, lighting, and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant — as well as narcotics, three AR-15s and a drum magazine.

After having his bail denied, Diddy will remain in jail until his trial. His next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 9.
