Diddy Offers $50 Million Bail Package, Puts Up Mother’s Home and Miami Properties as Collateral (UPDATE)

Sean “Diddy” Combs has offered a $50 million package to get bail until the beginning of his trial.

TMZ reports that the music mogul has offered up his $48 million mansion on Miami’s Star Island and his mother’s two million home in Miami as collateral.

In addition to offering up these homes, Diddy has also offered to restrict his travel to New York, New Jersey, and Florida. He’s willing to wear a GPS monitor so the police can keep track of where he’s at, too.

Diddy was taken into federal custody in New York on Monday (Sept. 16). Reports surfaced yesterday that Homeland Security agents arrived at the hotel that he was staying at in midtown for the arrest. Sources revealed that Diddy was supposed to be arrested Tuesday (Sept. 17) but the timetable of the arrest was moved up for an unspecified reason.

The United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York confirmed that Diddy was arrested due to a sealed indictment.

"USA Damian Williams: Earlier this evening, federal agents arrested Sean Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed by the SDNY," reads a post shared on X confirming the arrest. "We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time."

In a statement to Complex, Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo announced the belief that what’s happening is “unjust.” “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” said Agnifilo. “Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.”

Shortly after the arrest, a newly unsealed document about Diddy was revealed — explaining that he’s been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.” The document goes into details about the “Freak Offs” that Diddy was allegedly responsible for, detailing that they were made possible through “threats of force” and “coercion.”

Puff has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
