Dana White Laughs Off UFC's Mixup of Kendrick Lamar and Terence Crawford: ‘That Was Pretty Bad’

The mixup didn’t seem to be intentional, as Lamar compared himself to Crawford in “Euphoria.”

Dana White had a good laugh about the UFC mixing up boxer Terence Crawford with Kendrick Lamar.

During the broadcast of UFC 306 in Las Vegas yesterday (Sept. 14) on ESPN, undefeated world champion Terence Crawford was labeled by an onscreen card as Kendrick Lamar — a hilarious mix-up considering the fact that the real K. Dot mentioned Crawford on the diss track “Euphoria” aimed at Drake.

White laughed off the situation in a post-event interview when asked if he was expecting to get a text from Lamar and Crawford. White revealed that he already spoke to Crawford about the identity mix-up.

“That was pretty bad… He did kind of look like Kendrick Lamar… let’s not fuck around,” said White while laughing. “So when I said we had a flawless production tonight, I take that back.”

Responding to the moment, TDE president Punch wrote on x, “They say he whooping feet for real lol.” — a reference to Lamar’s line on the song, “ “He’s Terrence Thornton, I’m Terence Crawford, yeah, I’m whoopin’ feet.”

Back when “Euphoria” first dropped, Crawford referenced Lamar’s shoutout on Instagram when he posted a picture and captioned it with the lyrics. Ahead of his bout with Israil Madrimov in Los Angeles, he wrote “Yeah, I’am whooping feet” in the caption.

Lamar’s latest track offers a few shoutouts, but nearly none of the positive kind. On his new release “Watch the Party Die,” the rapper seemingly addresses rappers and the media, presenting his wish to burn everything down and start over so it’s better again.

He calls out scammers, media personalities, and clowns for messing up the game — declaring that he’d trade everyone to get Nipsey Hussle back.

On the track, he does however shout out two rappers: Lecrae and Dee-1. Both lyricists celebrated the respect in different ways: Lecrae dropped his own version of the track for his fans while Dee-1 posted a throwback picture with Lamar hinting at big changes coming.
