Jennifer Aniston Says She 'Truly Can’t Believe' JD Vance’s Resurfaced 'Childless Cat Ladies' Remark
The 'Friends' alum says she hopes the VP hopeful's daughter doesn't "need to turn to IVF as a second option," because his policies are putting that at risk.
Jennifer Aniston is in disbelief over comments made by Hillbilly Elegy writer and VP hopeful JD Vance.
Specifically, the Morning Show star’s decision to speak out was spurred by resurfaced footage of remarks Vance made during a Fucker Snarlson interview in 2021.
"I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of the United States," Aniston wrote on Wednesday. "All I can say is…Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too."
The mention of IVF is a personal one for Aniston, as well as particularly pertinent given Vance’s worrisome views on key women’s issues. In the aforementioned 2021 interview with Fucker Snarlson, Vance mentioned Kamala Harris, now the presumptive Democratic nominee, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez amid a convoluted diatribe during which he made the recently resurfaced "childless cat ladies" remark.
"The entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children," Vance said at the time. "How does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?"
Driving home her point a bit more, Aniston also shared a Harris clip and a New Yorker cartoon about the Supreme Court's recent failings on Wednesday. See more below.

Aniston publicly endorsed Biden and Harris in the 2020 election, asking her Instagram followers at the time to "really consider who is going to be most affected by this election if we stay on the track we’re on right now." The Emmy and Golden Globe winner, who will be seen in a new Morning Show season next year, has also supporter other Democrats in the past, Hillary Clinton among them.
With Biden having stepped aside and offered his support to Harris, it's now down to a Harris-led ticket and a Trump-led one with Vance in the prospective VP role. While Harris hasn't yet announced her VP pick, speculation is high and the pressure is on.
