The relationship between twins and former Sister, Sister stars Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry Housley has changed as the two have gotten older. In a sneak peek from her new reality show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, which premieres October 4, the 46-year-old revealed that the sisters are no longer close.

In the 11-minute clip from the upcoming WeTV show, around the 3-minute mark, Tia prepares her 6-year-old daughter, Cairo, for a visit with her father, the actress' ex-husband, actor Cory Hardrict. The ex-spouses, who were married from 2008 to 2023, also share a 13-year-old son, Cree.

In a confessional scene, Tia tearfully shares that she's had to "adapt" to this new relationship with Hardrict and that she "always wanted the family dynamic of having a mom and a dad in one household.

Mowry called being "alone" the "most challenging" part of her divorce, and that through her new circumstances, she wishes her and Tamera were "still close."

"It's times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close and I could, you know, pick up the phone and call her. But that's just not where we are right now," Tia admitted.

Tia's sister Tamera has been married to her husband, Adam Housley, since 2011. The couple share two children, a son and daughter, and celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary in May.

News of Tia and Tamera not currently being close might come across as a surprise to some fans, as Tia celebrated her sister in a birthday Instagram post back in July.

"Having you by my side as we’ve grown and evolved has been an incredible blessing," Tia captioned the post. "Not everyone can say they’ve had someone with them through every major milestone in life. From growing up together and getting our big break to navigating the teenage years, and motherhood, I’m immensely grateful to have shared this journey with you."
