John Oliver Does Not Care for Dr. Oz

Yesterday on Last Week Tonight, John Oliver conducted his weekly takedown of a famous figure or organization, and in the crosshairs this week was Dr. Oz.

Dr. Oz had to appear before a senate committee last week regarding the marketing of diet products, and he made a lot of controversial statements that throw into question how much he truly sticks to the doctors’ code of ethics. Oz himself has peddled diet products that have gone on to be proven to be (at best) unhelpful, or at worst potentially causing diabetes.

Oliver used another classic tactic to get his point across: a puppy. That’s the easiest way to win our approval.
