In our time doing Worldwide Wednesday, we've traveled to nearly every area on this big blue marble of ours: Australia, South America, the Caribbean, East Africa, the list goes on. But when we opened the newspaper this morning and saw that Nigerian militants had extended their cease-fire, we said to ourselves, "Finally, a threadbare excuse to gawk at pictures of beautiful West African women!" And gawk we did, to the tune of an ennead of pulchritude (two words at 50 cents a word, that'll be a dollar...) that makes us want to jump a flight to Lagos right quick and introduce some ladies to our own Lagos, nahmeridian?

9. ABIOLA BASHORUN
Claim to Fame: Miss Nigeria 2006 first came to prominence as the winner of something called Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria, which of course is short for "Most Beautiful Girl In Nigera Is Pleased To Inform You That You Have Inherited $30,000,000."

3. NNENNA AGBA
Claim to Fame: A model, though we wish she was a greengrocer so we could ask if you'd had a chance to taste Nnenna's cherries. Which sounds like Neneh Cherry! Oh, man, remember her? Awesome.

2. MEGALYN ECHIKUNWOKE
Claim to Fame: She's an actress who's been on 24 and The 4400, which is nearly as fameworthy as the fact that we want to do dirty naked things with her. So, y'know, take your pick.
