The singer and mother of two also commented on the status of her 'R9' album.

A biopic centered on Rihanna’s life would definitely be interesting.

But who would play the 36-year-old singer, entrepreneur, and fashion icon? RiRi was asked just that on the red carpet at her Fenty Hair launch event in Los Angeles on Monday—and she had an answer.

Taylor Russell,” she told E News. “You know why, ‘cause she got a nice forehead. She's fly. I feel like wanna be her, so I want her to pretend to be me. I want people to see me in that light.”

Rihanna said she'd want actress Taylor Russell to play her in a biopic:

Russell is perhaps best known for her roles in Bones and All and Waves, as well as her relationship with Harry Styles.

At the same event, Rihanna also provided fans with an R9 update

“I’m starting over,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “But I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective, and then see what applies and what I’m still in love with.”

She added, “I think that music, for me, is a new discovery. I’m rediscovering things. I have been working on the album for so long that I kinda put all that stuff aside and now I’m prepared to go back in the studio. I’m gonna start—give me a second!”

R9 and a biopic would send Rihanna’s Navy to the moon. Here’s to hoping.
