Cher is standing by her boyfriend Alexander "AE" Edwards following his recent altercation with Travis Scott and Southside.

Over the weekend, the 78-year-old singer spoke out for the first time since AE was involved in a physical confrontation with Travis and Southside at a Cannes Film Festival afterparty last week.

On Saturday, Cher hopped on Twitter to express how proud she is of Edwards, who she claims "finished" the fight despite being outnumbered by Scott and Southside.

"I’m Proud of Alexander," she wrote. "He Didn’t Start The fight against 2 Men. He finished it. Gotta Love Him.

Cher's comments arrived after AE broke his silence during a chat with TMZ at LAX on Wednesday.

"Shoutout Southside, that's my n***a, I know he was just defending his boy [Travis] and doing what he was supposed to be doing," AE said about the heated confrontation. "That's his boy. I don't got no hard feelings. It is what it is, it went how it went. That's it."

Though AE didn't shed light on what led to the altercation, he did stress that he will always "protect myself and my people." When asked if he's spoken with Travis since the incident, he shook his head. Pushed to give any message to Scott and his team, Edwards replied, "Nah, they got the message." He concluded, "It's a healthy fade."
