The wait is over: Let us introduce you to Ultron, the Singularity-in-a-robot-suit supervillain the Avengers have to defeat in the upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This is the first time we're getting a look at Ultron, who looks like a meaner Iron Man with the same color scheme as fellow blockbuster villain Darth Maul. Of course, this is just one incarnation of the Avengers villain — Ultron, who'll be played by James Spader using performance-capture technology, is a computer program, which basically means he can upload himself as anything and disappear into the Cloud whenever he wants. The Cloud is a scary enough concept to me — I don't need some robot exploiting it to end humanity.

What's worse, Ultron is a manifestation of the downside of technology, a machine created by Tony Stark that gets exponentially smarter to the point that its creator is minuscule and meaningless in comparison. Apparently Tony did not see Transcendent Manor Her.

Hopefully, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) — who have both had suit updates, as you can see above — and the rest of the Avengers have a plan to defeat Ultron and relieve my technological angst.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
