Marlon Wayans Slams Elon Musk for Disowning Trans Daughter Vivian Wilson: ‘Don’t Treat Them Babies Like That’
Wayans announced that his child Kai revealed they were transgender last November.
Marlon Wayans isn’t a fan of Elon Musk's decision to disown his trans daughter.
While speaking to Shannon Sharpe on a recent episode of his Club Shay Shay podcast, the 52-year-old entertainer joked that he has a Tesla that he’s about to get rid of over the comments the automotive company’s CEO and co-founder made about his transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson.
“I have a Tesla that I'm about to drive over a cliff cause I don't like what he be saying about his trans child that make me mad. You know you don't treat them babies like that. You don’t disown your babies,” Wayans said at the 1:47:42 mark in the video linked here. "Love your child."
“Your sperm weird, that ain't they fault,” he quipped. “Elon, your sperm weird it's okay to have weird sperm. I got it too man, shit! Love your child.”
In July, Musk claimed on X that his daughter was “born gay and slightly autistic, two attributes that contribute to gender dysphoria” while misgendering and deadnaming her.
“I knew that from when he was about 4 years old and he would pick out clothes for me to wear like a jacket and tell me it was ‘fabulous!’, as well as his love of musicals & theatre. But he was not a girl,” he wrote.
Wilson fired off a series of posts on the Threads app that month, calling Musk’s anecdotes “entirely fake” and “a last-ditch attempt to garner sympathy points.”
“Literally none of this ever happened. Ever,” she wrote at the time. “I don’t even know where he got this from. My best guess is that he went to the Milo Yiannopoulis school of gay stereotypes, just picked some at random and said ‘eh- good enough.’”
She continued, “I did not have a ‘love of musicals & theatre’ when I was four, because y’know… I was fucking four. I did not know what these things were… I never picked out jackets for him to wear and I was most certainly not calling them ‘fabulous’ because literally what the fuck. I did not use the word fabulous when I was four because once again I would like to reiterate… I was four. Like this is so obvious I don’t even think it warrants explanation but apparently people believe this nonsense so here I am.”
Elsewhere in her posts, Wilson said Musk was a mostly absent father.
The subject is close to Wayans’ heart because his oldest child, 24-year-old Kai, is transgender. He first announced Kai’s transition during an appearance on The Breakfast Club last November.
“My child [is] the same child they was before—they just got a beard now. Okay! Same baby,” the White Chicks star told Jennifer Hudson in a recent interview.
