Much to the delight of at least one young Jewish woman, Drake appeared at a bat mitzvah on Friday and performed “My Way” and “Hotline Bling.” Drake famously re-enacted his own bar mitzvah in his 2012 music video for “HYFR,” and on a hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch a couple years ago.
It must have taken some deep pockets to make this happen: There’s no word on how much booking Drake cost, but for comparison’s sake, Nicki Minaj performed at a bar mitzvah last year and netted an estimated $300,000 to $500,000, while Fetty Wap earned $50,000 for a bar mitzvah performance in December.
