In April, Chief Keef announced via an Instagram post that he had signed a deal with FilmOnTV, a web streaming service that allows users to stream live television. It was recently revealed, however, that there is tension between the two parties, which has led to Keef’s contract getting suspended by the company.

“Chief Keef’s contract was suspended 2 weeks ago because his management went off and did a tour without our approval,” FilmOnTV CEO Alki David said to Vlad TV. “[We are] not happy with the direction they are taking him. Same shit over and over. Limiting his appeal to a wider audience and I’m not saying he should sell out, just be more prolific.”

Referring to Keef’s video for “Let It Blow” featuring D. Flores, David said that the rapper was “making unsanctioned videos with child sex traffickers.” Flores was recently charged with allegedly kidnapping and forcing a 15-year-old girl into prostitution.

Despite the current animosity, David seems to has faith in Keef, real name Keith Cozart, and this suspension seems more of a disciplinary action than a severing of ties. David also said, “I don’t blame Keith—I blame his shady management—Keith is a f****** rap superstar.”
