Reddit’s music threads are always bubbling. They’re home to some of the most heated debates and cutting opinions on the internet, keeping us informed by poking around the nether regions—and Norway. That’s where a hip-hop head found a “16-year old Norwegian kid [who] sounds just like Eminem.”
Granted, Mads Veslelia is actually 24, but he does have an eerie resemblance in flow and appearance to Eminem (and, unfortunately, Slim Jesus). Mads has built up quite a following in Norway with his live Sunday videos—he posts a new performance each week, rapping out original songs like “I Don’t Fuck Around” and “Scarface of Facebook.”
The resemblance to Em is clearly no coincidence—he performs in front of Eminem posters, shouts him out in his songs, and the choruses sound straight out of a D12 playbook—but in his defense, Mads had this to say on Twitter:
