North meets East as Scorcher and D Double E connect for new track “Jurgen”.
Produced by DJ Lyan, “Jurgen” is built around the instantly recognisable looped piano chords from the Dr. Dre classic “Still D.R.E”, chopped up a little and updated with some punchy drill-inspired bass. As you’d expect, it’s a weighty and straight-to-the-point effort from these two grime titans. More to the point, it’s a welcome reminder of just how hard they can both go on a rap beat.
The track also comes with some ultra-stylish new visuals courtesy of director Jay Money. Decked out in all black with the sleek whip to match, the two MCs throw lines back and forth, bouncing off each other with wordplay about sporting greats like Jurgen Kopp and Colin Jackson.
