Want to get your hands on Lil Wayne’s old lyrics? His lyric notebook is now officially on sale for $5 million after years of legal turmoil to determine who actually owned it.

Yes, you’re reading this right. Wayne fans can finally get their hands on an old notebook from 1999 that includes Weezy’s lyrics from when he was 17 years old.

The notebook, sold through the Moments in Time authentication company, was found by someone who worked at a dealership and was tasked with cleaning out a car that was purchased from Cash Money Records.

Inside the book, it features Wayne’s verses from Hot Boys songs like “We On Fire” and “I Feel It.”

The notebook originally went on sale in 2019 and was set to be auctioned off for nearly $250,000, but Wayne’s lawyers filed a letter to the auction company stating that the rapper is the rightful owner of the notebook.

In the letter, they say that the New Orleans artist “never abandoned his notebook” — he simply lost it.

Instead of immediately turning it over, Moments in Time, Gary Zimet, said that Wayne must buy the notebook back if he wants it. Wayne was apparently cool with this, he just wanted the initial $250,000 sale stopped.

The fact that it’s finally on sale after five years means the legal turmoil must be over. It can be yours today if you can offer more than $5 million.

Lil Wayne’s busy filling up new lyric notebooks (figuratively) because he’s back in the booth dropping new verses. He recently appeared on Cordae’s new single “Saturday Mornings” with a highlight feature that set the internet ablaze.

Soon after, he appeared on “Ya Don’t Stop” by DJ Premier along with Rick Ross and Big Sean.

It’s exciting to see Wayne in the booth as he gets older, especially since Andre 3000 doesn’t believe he has anything to rap about in his 40s.

Opening up about this sentiment on Young Money Radio with Tyga, Lil Wayne explained he still has things to rap about. “I was like that’s so depressing, I have everything to talk about,” he said.

Wayne kept going, explaining his strategy around dropping music now that he’s getting older.

“I thought that may be a downfall of me staying in it because at our age you may hear what’s going on and feel I’m so out of that. I ain’t about to drop nothing,” he said. “So that’s why I say I don’t listen. I just go in my little hole, I love what I do, put it out, and hopefully we swing for the fences, man.”
