The trilogy continues, as do the questions surrounding potential matchings of one’s freak, with the release of Tinashe’s Quantum Baby.

The new album, Tinashe’s seventh, follows the explosive ubiquity of "Nasty," which gave the former RCA artist her biggest Hot 100 hit since 2014’s "2 On" with Schoolboy Q. The track’s current peak on the chart is No. 61, though a previous appearance at No. 69 understandably spurred a playful response from the singer in line with the song’s core inquiry.

In June, Complex named "Nasty,' produced by Ricky Reed and Zack Sekoff, as one of the best songs of 2024 (so far). Quantum Baby’s sequencing sees the track serving as the eight-song collection’s parting message, as you’ll hear here.

"This second part of the trilogy is really focused on getting to know me a little bit deeper,' Tinashe recently told the Associated Press of the new album, which follows last year’s BB/ANG3L.

Starting Oct. 14, Tinashe will be on the road with her aptly named Match My Freak Tour. The trek begins with a show at the House of Blues in Anaheim before also touching down at the Greek in Los Angeles, Marathon Music Works in Nashville, Showbox SoDo in Seattle, the Rosalind in Portland, and more. More dates will be announced soon. In the meantime, see the full schedule below.
