The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards proved to be a very Megan-centric affair, as the "Mamushi" artist served as both host and performer for the latest iteration of the long-running celebration of what should always remain one of our most cherished art forms.

"Boa," "B.A.S.," "Hiss," and, naturally, "Mamushi"—complete with a scene-stealing appearance from Yuki Chiba—were all given space in Megan’s medley. See more below.

This follows last year’s VMAs performance of Megan and Cardi B’s "WAP" follow-up "Bongos." As for Moon Person developments, Megan entered Wednesday night’s ceremony as a 24-time nominee and two-time winner, including for Best Power Anthem in 2019 ("Hot Girl Summer" with previous VMAs host Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign) and Best Hip-Hop in 2020 ("Savage").

In June, Megan took the self-titled approach with her third studio album, which notably boasted an unreleased Pimp C verse. The album’s release followed February’s announcement that Megan had signed a new distribution deal with Warner Music Group, with Megan being released under her own Hot Girl Productions label.

Later this month, Megan will perform at the first-ever Athlos NYC event at Icahn Stadium. See more info below.
