Freddy P Speculates That Fonzworth Bentley Was Diddy's 'Boyfriend' at One Point: 'Talked to You Like His B*tch'
The Da Band alum has had a lot to say about Diddy, who remains in custody pending trial in his racketeering and trafficking case.
Da Band alum Freddy P is back in headlines with more remarks about Diddy, this time centered on speculation he’s shared regarding Fonzworth Bentley, who at one time was a familiar fixture in the larger Bad Boy universe.
During a recent The Art of Dialogue conversation, excerpted below, Freddy P, who was featured on several Making the Band seasons during the Da Band era, asserted that Bentley was Diddy’s “little boyfriend” at one point during their time together.
“With Puffy, of course, I think he’s gay,” P said. “I think everybody around him gay and I don’t think you get to stay around him unless you’ve proven that either you are with the shit or the shit don’t bother you.”
Unfortunately, this feels like it could be an example of the larger conversation surrounding the allegations against Diddy veering into mere homophobia masquerading as some sort of deeper insight. There’s no need for any of that, and the general public would be best served by sticking to what’s actually alleged in the indictment, for example, or the hotel surveillance footage showing him assaulting Cassie, but I digress.
From there, P theorized that those in Diddy’s circle were either actively involved in enabling “bad behavior” or they had their “own skeletons” being used against them.
“Whatever you do and he found out you do, he can allow you around him,” P said, further speculating that Diddy has “an addiction” to “turning people out.”
As for Bentley, specifically, P expressed respect for the former From G’s to Gents host while also questioning the nature of his relationship with Diddy. According to P, he “watched this man disrespect” Bentley on multiple occasions. Diddy also “talked to you like his bitch,” per P.
“I think [Bentley] was his little boyfriend, girlfriend, at one time,” he said. “You have to see how they was conducting themselves. I don’t wanna say that about Bentley because Bentley got kids and shit and I got respect for that n***a. He was one of the few n***as I fucked with.”
P added that he heard the two had a falling out in connection with claims of stealing, an alleged turn of events he says he understands due to how Diddy treated him.

Diddy was arrested in New York earlier this month. An unsealed indictment revealed he’s facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. In a previous statement, Marc Agnifilo, an attorney for Diddy, said his client was “an innocent man.” Bail has been denied to the Bad Boy Records founder, with prosecutors having successfully argued that he’s a flight risk, among other stated concerns.
