Top Dawg Entertainment has signed their latest artist, Alemeda, in collaboration with Warner Records, and she dropped her major label debut to celebrate.

On Thursday, the West Coast powerhouse label announced the signing while also releasing the Ethiopian-Sudanese singer's major debut EP, FK IT, which is out now.

According to the press release, Alemeda's EP is a collection of "genre-blurring brilliance, blending gritty alt-rock, rebellious punk energy, and dreamy pop melodies." The project is led by the first single, "I already dug your grave" and in addition to standouts such as "Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows" and "I hate your face."

"TDE placed trust and time in me to find my sound and develop as an artist at my own pace. I think to be signed to them means to be more than just an artist but to be a pivotal part of Black art and culture," Alemeda said in a statement. "I'm honored to be the third woman ever signed to this historic roster of talented culture pavers. Warner also has a great understanding of who I am as an artist, and their historic success in the rock and pop genres makes me confident in our future together. I feel they were the right team to support my growth as an artist and I am excited for what is to come working with them alongside TDE."

Anthony "Top" Tiffith, Founder & CEO of TDE added, "I'm excited to welcome Alemeda to the team and introduce her to the world. She's an amazing artist, and I'm proud of the way she's developed. Can't wait to see what the game has in store for her."

Moosa Tiffith, President of TDE, shared, "It's been a pleasure to watch the growth and development of Alemeda over the past four years. I'm excited to introduce her to our roster with her debut EP."

Alemeda also shared the news on her X page with a photo of her posing alongside Top and a caption that read, "I'd like to formally announce that I have officially joined the Top dawg family #TDE."

With her inclusion at TDE, Alemeda is the third female artist signed to the label, following SZA and Doechii. The 23-year-old dropped her viral 2021 debut single, "Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows," which has earned close to 34 million streams to date, following up with, "Post Nut Clarity," in the summer of 2022.
