How does Ice Spice deal with an unfaithful partner? By beating him at his own game.

The Bronx-born rapper proves this in “Did It First,” her newly released single featuring the U.K.’s Central Cee. Spice teased the revenge cheating anthem on social media last week when she showed off her twerking skills against a fireworks backdrop.

“If he cheatin im doin him worse,” she captioned the clip, which included a snippet of the new track.

“Did It First” was produced by Ice’s longtime collaborator USARIOT and supported by a nostalgia-heavy music video. The “Munch” artist previewed the visual via Instagram on Thursday, sharing a few shots of a house party scene and old-school PC message windows.

“If he’s cheatin’, I’m doin’ him worse,” she declares in the chorus. “No Uno, I hit the reverse/I ain’t trippin’, the grip in my purse/I don’t care, ‘cause he did it first.”

“Did It First” is expected to land on Ice’s debut studio album Y2K!, which is slated to release on July 26. You can listen to the track on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major platforms, and watch the official video up top.

The record arrives as Ice, 24, and Central Cee, 26, continue to fuel dating rumors. In October 2023, the former told the Los Angeles Times she was in a relationship but declined to reveal her beau’s identity, as she wanted her fans “to keep their focus on what I’m here for, which is music.”

Since then, many have speculated that the mystery man was Central Cee, who was recently spotted with Ice in the U.K. The two praised each other in Ice’s October 2023 Complex cover story, in which Cee described her as “humble” and “down to earth.”

“[She] don’t really care too much about the shiny stuff; but also knows how to play the game,” he told Complex. “And you can hear that in the music, and see that in the moves that she makes, and I appreciate that because some people don’t really know what they’re doing, and they take it for granted or they don’t take the opportunity and run with it—but she’s really running with it right now.”

Ice returned the kind words.

“We’ve become good friends over the past year ever since he hopped on ‘Munch [Remix]’” she said before teasing another collaboration. “But we’re gonna drop something new and exciting when we’re ready.”
