Kid Cudi revealed he has tried twice to collaborate with J. Cole, but for one reason or another, it has not worked out.

In response to someone suggesting the two should work together on what would be the "best collab of all time," Cudi said they actually had a session ahead of the release of 2013's Indicud, but Cole could not write to the beat he produced. Cudder also claimed that he didn't get a response from the Fayetteville rapper after he requested to work together on 2024's INSANO.

"It was a bummer, and I always wanted to do something so I reached out for INSANO, no response," he added. "So there's that."

Even without J. Cole, Cudi secured a star-studded lineup of features on Indicud, which included Kendrick Lamar, ASAP Rocky, RZA, Haim and Michael Bolton.

Cudi spoke a bit further about the situation with Cole, expressing a belief that he "just [didn't] connect [with] what I sent him." Despite everything that has gone on between them, Cudder remains hopeful about them collaborating one day.

In a separate tweet, Cudi responded to a fan who asked who his dream collaboration would be; however, the rapper said he's certain that he has already collaborated with all of his "favorite artists."

He went on to tease a collab with EARTHGANG and seemed intrigued about the idea of working with Gorillaz.
