Janet Jackson Reveals Her 'Pants Split Right in My Booty Crack' During Performance for Queen Elizabeth

Janet Jackson took a trip down memory lane with British Vogue, looking back at outfits that evoke fond memories, as well as an awkward moment involving Queen Elizabeth.

Janet disclosed the outfit she wore for her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 1990 was inspired by the Ray Bradbury book Fahrenheit 451. The singer altered the look by adding several silver plates with the help of designer Bill Whitten, who notably created several of Michael Jackson’s memorable looks, according to People.

Jackson was wearing the outfit, commonly associated with her album Rhythm Nation 1814, during a performance for Queen Elizabeth when she had a wardrobe malfunction.

"Funny story about this outfit. I was performing for the Queen of England and we were doing 'Rhythm Nation.' Sure enough, as soon as I squatted, my pants split right in my booty crack," she recalled. "I couldn't believe it happened. I thought, oh my God. And then I started feeling air back there, so I knew it had really happened."

Janet said she made sure to never turn her back to Queen Elizabeth, even when the choreography called for her to do so.
