Usher seems tight-lipped on brokering a reconciliation between Kendrick Lamar and Drake in time for the Super Bowl LIX halftime performance.

The R&B icon, who headlined the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in February, was a guest on Live with Kelly and Mark this week, where he revisited being on "one of the hardest stages to ever play."

"Everybody has this fifteen minutes of fame idea, but it's really your fifteen minutes of fame. You have to play hits. You've got to get right to it," Usher said around the one-minute mark of the video below.

When asked about advice for Kendrick, Usher said, "Play the hits," and joked that Mark Consuelos "chose violence" after asking if the "Watch the Party Die" rapper would "bring out Drake."

Kelly Ripa then suggested that Usher "broker" the peace between Kendrick and Drake, which he swiftly declined.

"I want no part of that. I'm sorry," Usher said. "Let's just say, it's been a great experience to say that I could play the Super Bowl. I understand how much pressure comes with it and I wouldn't wish it on anybody. But I would wish it on you if you've had the career."

Also putting in their two cents on the upcoming halftime show this week was 50 Cent on The Talk. According to Fifty, Kendrick "deserves" the headlining spot, despite fans and fellow rappers protesting that the New Orleans show belongs to Lil Wayne.

"As a solo artist right now, he's the guy." 50 Cent said about Kendrick around the two-minute mark of the video below.

Kendrick last performed alongside Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and special guests 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak during the Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
