Country musician Tommy Cash has died at 84, almost 21 years to the date of his older brother, rock 'n' roll icon Johnny Cash.

The news of Cash's death was publicized by the Cash Museum on Saturday (Sept. 14), who shared that the "Six White Horses" artist died on Sept. 13, 21 years and one day after his brother, who was older by eight years.

Born in Dyess, Arkansas on April 5, 1940, Cash was the youngest of four siblings. Following his high school graduation, Carter worked as a DJ for the Armed Forces Radio during his time in the U.S. Army. Post-military, Cash would perform in Hank Williams' band before going solo, inking a deal with Musicor Records in 1965. In 1969, Six White Horses would mark Carter's most notable hit, as the song was dedicated to the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy.
