is aTrue to her diva reputation, Mariah Carey took a high-heeled climb of the Great Wall of China this week.
While visiting the Asian country with her 13-year-old twins Morocco and Monroe and her crew, the singer wore a long black dress, shades, and black platform heels to make the trek. While it's doubtful that Carey's visit lasted all 13,171 miles of the monument, the sight of her heels came as a shock to bystanders and fans. But the five-time Grammy Award winner confidently made the climb, tightly holding onto two men from the group, as seen in the video below.
On social media, the singer posted pictures of herself and her children on top of the Great Wall, also joking about her outfit for the occasion.
"At the Great Wall of China! Someone should’ve warned me about heels (not that I would’ve listened)," she wrote.

As her faithful Lambs know, Carey doesn't stray too far without a good pair of heels, even working out in them. Earlier this year, the 55-year-old wore a gold gown and heels during a workout session, similarly wearing stilettos in an 2002 episode of MTV Cribs.
The singer could also be practicing for the heels she'll wear during her upcoming 'Christmas Time' tour, which begins November 6 in Highland, California.
