Halsey Celebrates Engagement With Avan Jogia: 'I'm With My Best Friend'
The pop artist confirmed their engagement to Jogia, a Canadian actor and singer, during the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
Pop artist Halsey found their match in Canadian actor and singer, Avan Jogia. Now the New Jersey native is feeling especially "Lucky," because during the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards last night, Halsey confirmed that the couple is officially engaged.
"Avan is the best; he's one of the best things that's ever happened to me, and, you know, every single day that I get to spend with him is one where I just feel, like, I'm with my best friend, you know what I mean? It's incredible," she told E! News while on the VMAs red carpet on Wednesday (Sept. 11).
When asked if the two are getting married, Halsey gave a mischievous look, answering, "I hope so!" and said that Jogia and their three-year-old son, Ender Ridley Aydin (whom Halsey had with former partner Alev Aydin), are "best friends" and "inseparable."
Post-interview, Halsey revealed in a Pop Base repost that they're engaged to Jogia, correcting the page's mention of Jogia as a "boyfriend" to "fiancé."
After Halsey's breakup with Aydin last spring, the singer reportedly began dating Jorgia, going official during Halloween with an Instagram post.
During the VMAs, Halsey wore an Avril Lavigne-inspired fit while performing their new single "Ego," set to be on their upcoming fifth album, The Great Impersonator, which arrives Oct. 18.
