Birdman won’t stand for the disrespect.

The record exec took to X on Monday to seemingly share his disappointment that Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Drake are not playing the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans next February.

“These ni***z Pussi @NICKIMINAJ @Drake @LilTunechi YMCMB. I’m make these ni***z respek us on Gladys,” Birdman tweeted, referencing his late mother Ms. Gladys, who passed away when he was only 5-years-old.

In subsequent tweets, Baby wrote, “Smfh” and “Hatin shit 4real.”

On Sunday, Kendrick Lamar announced that he will perform at the next Super Bowl. The news saw some fallout among fans and celebrities who thought Weezy should have been selected instead, given that New Orleans is his hometown. Some also came for Jay-Z and Roc Nation; in 2019, Roc Nation announced its partnership as the NFL’s official live music entertainment strategist.

Nicki Minaj was extremely vocal about the announcement, appearing to slam Hov and his Roc Nation company on X on Monday.

"One n***a took a knee. The other n***a took the bag," she wrote, apparently referring to Colin Kaepernick. "He gon get you 'n*****s' in line every fkng time.”

Cam’ron also reacted to the news on the It Is What It Is podcast, wondering aloud why Wayne isn’t headlining the major event: “I think [Lamar’s] one of the top artists of this generation. Period. Hate the selection. It’s in New Orleans. You don’t get Lil Wayne? That’s what we doing?”

Tunechi has long campaigned for the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl. In the hours following Lamar’s announcement, a clip of Wayne discussing just how badly he wants to perform at the Super Bowl resurfaced.

"I will not lie to you, I have not got a call," he told YG and Stevie for the 4Hunnid podcast. "But we all praying, we keeping our fingers crossed. I'm working hard. I'm going to make sure this next album and everything I do is killer … I want to just make it hard for them not to highlight the boy."
