50 Cent Explains Benefits of Being Celibate: 'You Can Focus'
Fif wasn't joking when he said he would be "practicing abstinence" in 2024.
In an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, 50 Cent opened up about his decision to remain single and why he's celibate these days.
At the 4:45 point of the interview, as seen above, Colbert highlighted that a recent magazine cover asked if Fif is "really celibate," which prompted him to ask the rapper and TV producer up-front. "Listen, when you calm down, you can focus," he replied. "I've been good to me."
Colbert jokingly asked why he was accumulating so much wealth if he was just going to be celibate. "It's when things start getting complicated, things start getting confusing because people coming for different reasons," he continued. "If you go on a date and you have no interest in anything... I can see you now. Say, 'Goddamn girl you fine but you ain't got nothing going on."
He was asked if he's ever been married before and replied, "No I'm safe, I'm not a happy hostage... I'm here man, I'm free." He joked, "I've made some mistakes, just not that one."

At the start of the year, 50 Cent said that he would be "practicing abstinence" in 2024. "My new idea is so big, I don’t have time to be distracted I’m practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals," 50 wrote in a post on Instagram. "I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level."
