We Thought Siri Didn’t Know Sh*t About Rap, But We Were Wrong. Kind of.
Siri needs to spend some more time listening to Apple Music.

As you may have heard, the world's most valuable company, Apple, officially entered the streaming music battle with Apple Music. First previewed last month at the company's annual World Wide Developers Conference, Apple Music was shown to incorporate seamlessly into Apple's other products and services. Services like the digital, voice activated personal assistant called Siri. Apple's Senior VP of Internet Services, Eddy Cue, cued Siri up and had her play a song from the soundtrack for the movie Selma. It wasn't a surprise that Siri chose to play the Oscar- and Grammy-winning single "Glory." It's probably the song from the soundtrack that sold the best in the iTunes Music Store. Easy, right?
A harder question is: Can the algorithms that power Siri account for taste? With Apple Music featuring curated playlists from a strong team of editors and publications like Complex, there's a wide database of information about most of the world's music. We decided to put it to the test and see if Siri could deduce the best songs made by our favorite rappers. To our surprise some are spot on, while others are laughably off the mark. If you want to know what Siri thinks Hova's real magnum opus is, scroll down.

Siri's pick: "Live Your Life"
Siri was gonna put T.I.'s actual best song but probably took offense to the whole, "When I chirp shawty chirp back" line.
