YouTuber Adalia Rose Williams has passed away at the age of 15.

The influencer had a rare genetic disease, called Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome.

“January 12, 2022 at 7pm Adalia Rose Williams was set free from this world,” an announcement on her Instagram read. “She came into it quietly and left quietly, but her life was far from it. She touched MILLIONS of people and left the biggest imprint in everyone that knew her.”

The statement continued, “She is no longer in pain and is now dancing away to all the music she loves. I really wish this wasn’t our reality but unfortunately it is.”

“We want to say thank you to everyone that loved and supported her. Thank you to all her doctors and nurses that worked for YEARS to keep her healthy. The family would now like to mourn this huge loss in private,” the post ended.

The Texas-based teenager began documenting her life online in 2012, gaining fans as she shared her struggles with her health, as well as makeup tutorials, dances, and skits with her family. She was diagnosed with progeria at just three months old.

She lived just past the average life expectancy for children with the disease, which is typically 14.5 years old, according to the National Organization of Rare Disorders. The syndrome currently doesn’t have a cure and leads to premature aging, growth delays, and hair loss. Only around 400 children in the world have the disease.

Michael Costello also expressed her grief over her death. The fashion designer created two custom-made dresses for Williams for her 13th birthday in 2019.
