adidas' all-star roster of designers has just added one more.

Rita Ora joins Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg, and a squadron of designers on team three stripes, becoming the first female artist collaborator for the brand. WWD broke the news officially Tuesday morning, as Ora let her fans know via Instagram with a photo of her wearing an adidas floral print track jacket she designed.

"I’m a massive fan of the brand,” she told WWD. “I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”

Ora says adidas approached her last September during New York Fashion Week. After she accepted, she flew to adidas' headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany and got started immediately. Her deal, which lasts until 2015, includes footwear, apparel, accessories, and outerwear. Adidas will roll out five different capsule collections designed by Ora, beginning Aug. 21.

"I always come from the approach that they are designers and I am an artist,” she said. “The biggest advice was that [adidas] said to be yourself and be confident in what you’re doing and confident in what you wear...You have to be brave and do what you like. I think my fashion will represent that.”
