LeBron James Is Now Neighbors with Jim Carrey and Scooter Braun

As James' family settles into their new Los Angeles home, they’re joining high-profile celeb neighbors like Scooter Braun, ABC's Exec Ben Sherwood, and Jim Carrey to name a few.

Like it or not, LeBron James is on the Lakers, which means the All-Star needed to pack his bags and recenter himself in Los Angeles.

L.A. is no Cleveland, and James is far from the only huge celebrity in town. As his family settles into their new home in the Brentwood neighborhood, they’re joining some high-profile neighbors like Scooter Braun, ABC exec Ben Sherwood, and Jim Carrey to name a few, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

LeBron dropped a stupendous $23 million on his new home, a fraction of his huge 4-year, $154 million deal. It remains to be seen if James will dive headfirst into the SoCal lifestyle, or if him and Braun will become BFFs, but so far his neighbors seem to be welcoming him with open arms—at least more than they would Justin Bieber.

“[His house] is set on the hillside, very tasteful and pretty, and it's been low-key so far," said one neighbor, who expressed concern over the “McMansions" popping up in the area. “People were a lot more upset when Justin Bieber was looking around here."

On July 9, LeBron officially joined the purple-and-gold franchise. "Today is a great day for the Lakers organization and Lakers fans all over the world to welcome LeBron James, a three-time NBA Champion and four-time NBA MVP," Magic Johnson said after the signing. "LeBron is special. He is the best player in the world. He loves to compete and is an awesome leader who is about winning and making sure that his teammates are successful."

Sure, he's the best player in the world, but is LeBron the best neighbor in the world? We'll have to follow up with Jim Carrey.
