Miami Heat veteran guard Dwyane Wade got into a kerfuffle with then-Celtics guard Rajon Rondo when Miami and Boston squared off in the 2011 playoffs. Wade was accused of pulling Rondo to the ground, and as Rondo fell, he injured his left elbow. You can be the judge of whether Wade's intent was malicious by watching the incident below.

Noted Celtics fan and the Ringer leader Bill Simmons certainly hasn't forgotten about that moment. He made a joke about it Wednesday morning.

Houston drawing Utah in round one doesn’t seem fair.

I’m already getting emotionally prepared for a Miami/Boston series with no Kyrie and no Smart plus the unknown Celtic that Dwayne Wade is going to *accidentally* injure. https://t.co/MYPsM82RPI

Wade saw it and shot right back at Simmons.

It may be you🤷🏾‍♂️ https://t.co/Jm3U2UaZ0b

Simmons took the response in stride.

👋 I’m going to put on an elbow brace now just in case you aren’t kidding

If the season ended today, the Celtics and Heat would match up in the first round, and as Simmons noted, it wouldn't be an easy matchup for the injury riddled Celtics. The Heat have won two in a row and, with Erik Spoelstra leading the way, would be a formidable first-round opponent for any top seed.

It looks like Miami will play either Boston or Toronto, though a lot could change in the final 12 games of the season.
