Mikaela Spielberg wants to continue the filmmaking legacy created by her father. But instead of directing and producing blockbuster hits, Mikaela is interested in created self-produced porn videos

During a conversation with The Sun that was published on Wednesday, the young Spielberg says that she submitted an application to be a sex worker in Nashville, Tennessee. At 23-years-old, Spielberg has already battled mental health issues and alcoholism, and has come to realize that she's a "sexual creature" and that creating solo porn videos makes her feel satisfied.

"I got really tired of not being able to capitalize on my body and frankly, I got really tired of being told to hate my body," she explained. "And I also just got tired of working day to day in a way that wasn't satisfying to my soul. I feel like doing this kind of work, I'm able to 'satisfy' other people, but that feels good because it's not in a way that makes me feel violated."

When Mikaela revealed her new career path to her father—who adopted her in 1996—and his wife, Kate Capshaw, the couple was reportedly "intrigued" by the decision, not upset. Mikaela says she wants her sex work to be "consensual" and "safe," and sees it as a way to become financially free. In an Instagram post that is no longer available to view because her account was made private, Mikaela thanked people for their outpouring of support. "Thanks for the overwhelming inbox love, I never expected a positive reaction like this," she wrote, before giving out her Venmo in case anyone wants to tip her. "Also if I don't get back to you it's because RIP my inbox. Also when you interact be sure to confirm your age for my own protection," she added.

Mikaela elaborated on her desire to be financially independent in her chat with The Sun. "I can't stay dependent on my parents or even the state for that matter—not that there's anything wrong with that—it just doesn't feel comfortable for me," she said.

Along with her parents, Spielberg's 47-year-old finance, Chuck Pankow, supports her decision. Mikaela says that she won't engage in on-camera work with another person. She's also interested in creating "fetish" videos, making clips that show off her breasts, which she calls her "moneymakers," and possibly stripping. Mikaela produces these films under the name "Sugar Star." She had clips on PornHub, but she had them removed until her sex worker license is approved by the State of Tennessee.
