Wendy Williams confirmed on Twitter that her show, The Wendy Williams Show, will be taking an indefinite hiatus. On Friday night, the 54-year-old shared statements from both her family and the show's production company, Debmar-Mercury.

"As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend," her family wrote. "Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ Disease that will require treatment. Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital. Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being."

In February 2018, Williams missed her first show when she took a week off due to complications with Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism. She later confirmed that she would be taking a further three weeks off to recover. In December, the return of her show was further delayed by a shoulder fracture.

"For over ten years, Wendy has been a vital part of the Debmar-Mercury family," her show's production company added. "We wholeheartedly support Wendy in this decision to take the time she needs and we will welcome her back with open arms the moment she is ready." The Wendy Williams Show will return on Jan. 28 with "a variety of hosts."

It's currently unclear when Williams will return to the show, but 50 Cent will undoubtedly have something to say about her hiatus.
