Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but the pro wrestler-turned-actor isn't making headlines today for announcing his latest blockbuster role. According to the U.K.'s Daily Star, the Brahma Bull had some choice words for the "snowflakes" of the current generation.
"I don’t have to agree with what somebody thinks, who they vote for, what they voted for, what they think, but I will back their right to say or believe it. That's democracy," he reportedly told Daily Star. "So many good people fought for freedom and equality—but this generation are looking for a reason to be offended.
His main problem seems to arise from the fact he thinks this generation of young adults is taking away from our right to freedom of speech that countless servicemen and women have fought for.
"If you are not agreeing with them then they are offended—and that is not what so many great men and women fought for," he reportedly continued. "People can be who they want, be with who they want, and live how they want. That can only be a good thing—but 'generation snowflake' or, whatever you want to call them, [is] actually putting us backwards."
Johnson never aims his comments at anything specific. It just appears that, generally speaking, he isn't too fond of an increasingly socially conscious generation being offended by opinions that stray from their own. While nothing has been confirmed, some have suggested his questionable take could be in response to the recent controversy surrounding close friend and former co-star Kevin Hart.
In other news, the Rock has recently been challenged to a wrestling match by Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo—a challenge he quickly responded to by assuring the Greek Freak that he doesn't "want this smoke." Johnson is also the host of NBC's brand new competition series, The Titan Games.
