New Jersey Senator Cory Booker has been dating actress and activist Rosario Dawson since, at least, December, according to Page Six. Rumors of a possible relationship began to circulate when the two were spotted last month at the Regal Union Square theater to watch a movie. Speculation of a romance only grew when they were seen attending a performance of the Broadway show Dear Evan Hanson with her daughter and his niece.
Following a meet-and-greet with the cast after their show, Dawson was reportedly heard singing a song to Booker which incorporated the phrase, "I love you."
Dawson has been a constant presence in the political sphere for quite some time now. She co-founded the nonprofit organization Voto Latino, which aims to encourage more young Latinos to register to vote and become more politically engaged. She has been arrested on two separate occasions while protesting. When asked by Variety about her interest in running for office, she responded, "Maybe down the line, long down the line, but not right now."
Booker has been involved in politics since 1998 when he took the seat for Municipal Council of Newark in an upset victory. He went on to become mayor of Newark in 2006 before making history as the first African-American U.S. Senator to represent the state of New Jersey. Booker has never been married.
