Kim Kardashian may not be thinking of running for office anytime soon, but she's definitely not ruling it out for the future.

Kim K made an appearance on CNN’s The Van Jones Show on Saturday to talk about Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old woman who was serving a life sentence without parole on a first-time offense for drug trafficking. Donald Trump granted her clemency earlier this month.

After meeting with President Trump last month, where she discussed pardoning Johnson and prison reform, the idea that Kim may be thinking about getting into politics isn't coming from left field. "I honestly saw that if I could use my platform just to do something for one person," Kim told Jones, "it opens the conversation for so much more and for other people to want to do the same thing."

Kim diplomatically explained, "I just want to help, starting with one person at a time. I think sometimes if more people would just put their personal feelings aside and talk about really important issues that have to be discussed, then so much more can get done." This prompted the host to ask her point blank if she would ever run for office.

"I guess never say never," she said at the 13:13 mark. "But that’s not going to be like, 'Kim’s running.' That’s not where I am."

She explained that she would not want to follow a specified party line whether or not she decides to ever run, but she would like to continue helping women who have been incarcerated.
